Green Features of REEP House: Green Materials and Heritage Features: reused and reclaimed materials

At REEP House, many of the original features of the home are integrated into the renovation design. The beautiful stairway and newel are a case in point.

REEP House also features 100-year-old fir flooring from a London, Ontario distillery, hand-stripped original white ash baseboards and trim (mixed with new replicated trim), and collar ties made from 100-year-old barn beams.

Stained Glass

Green Features of REEP House: Green Materials and Heritage Features: stained glass

A heritage high-performance window is possible. Original stained glass can be installed on the inside of a window with wood trim, and then protected by double glazing. Artist Lynn Chidwick designed three beautiful stained glass pieces for REEP House.
