Up to $5000 per Household

Ontario's Home Energy Savings Program will provide up to $5000 per household in incentives for energy saving upgrades.

View provincial grant table. To qualify you must have an energy evaluation before starting renovations. Your grant amount will depend on the specific work completed in the home.

Federal ecoENERGY Grants

National Resources Canada offers the ecoENERGY Retrofit Incentive -Homes grants to home and property owners provided they meet the following criteria:

  1. Registered for the ecoENERGY program before March 31, 2010;
  2. Had an initial home energy evaluation;
  3. Completed energy saving retrofits following the recommendations of a Certified Energy Advisor; and
  4. Had a follow-up evaluation after the upgrades are done before March 31, 2011.

View federal grant amounts . Note: All federal grants are matched, dollar-for-dollar, by the Government of Ontario. Again, you must meet all four of the above criteria to receive federal grants.
