Outreach and Education

REEP attends roughly 50 community events, festivals, fairs, home shows, and presentations each year and travels all over the Region with the same message: that each of us can make choices in the way we use energy that will benefit the environment, our community and the planet, as well as our pocketbook.

We are grateful to the many community organizations including local businesses, media, government, libraries, stores, schools, realtors, insurers and neighbourhood associations that have helped to spread the message about REEP over the years by distributing our educational materials to their customers and constituents.

In 2006, REEP's community outreach included the following:

• 24 news items in local print, radio or television media
• Attendance at 27 local events with the REEP display
• 24 presentations to various audiences
• 9 free public workshops hosted by REEP
